I am a doctoral researcher in the Department of European and International Studies at King’s College London, which I joined in 2026. My PhD examines why states delegate the enforcement of core parts of financial regulation to private firms, and how delegation shapes regulatory implementation and enforcement. The project is motivated by concerns about democratic accountability, regulatory capture and the effectiveness of enforcement.

Before beginning my doctorate, I worked in investment banking in London, at BNP Paribas and at HSBC, where I was Head of the Sovereign, Supranational and Agency (SSA) Debt Capital Markets Syndicate, Europe. While my professional experience is kept separate from the evidence in my research, it shapes which sources I look for and how I read them.

I hold an MSc in International Strategy and Diplomacy from the London School of Economics and Political Science and a BA in European Studies from Royal Holloway, University of London. Raised in Germany, I am fluent in German, English, French and Spanish.

Alongside pursuing my doctorate, I speak to employee networks on decision-making under uncertainty, in careers and in personal finance.

My second field of study is the body. I have completed more than 1,000 hours of movement education, studying the full classical Pilates apparatus system and training as a Katonah Yoga® teacher in Nevine Michaan’s method. I teach Pilates, yoga and breathwork as disciplines, privately and to small groups.

Talks and other work are described under Work with me.
